Imagine, you go on a disaster tour in a IKEA a few hours before revelry of Christmas, in order to find two or three small decorations for this evening that we spend usually surrounded by his family. You enter the elevator that is supposed to drive you to the car park, with all your purchases in your hands. A stranger is also present with you and there ... the elevator is blocked.
Here is the rather original scenario of this advertising produced by IKEA Italy and the agency DDB that we found amusing and playing, as the Swedish giant knows very well do in his ads, on a everyday scene which takes a twisted turn. The ad also plays on the very different personalities of the two protagonists: a man rather rider and sociable facing another who seems rather cold and distant.
A little pub spot original and pleasant who plays with everyday life and who conveys a beautiful message as the holidays approach, turning Christmas into a party where it is sometimes good to to turn to the unknown... which really is not really.
Well, we're not fooled of course, it's only an advertisement but if we could have more of this kind on television we would probably be bored less at the pub break.
