Originally from New Zealand, the creative Paul Walsh has fun diverting electrical cabinets that he finds in the street in true street art colorful.
Creativity can give rise to some pretty cool stories. This one takes place in New Zealand and should definitely have fun. Paul Walsh is a artist from the city of Rotorua. In 2013, he painted a picture of Grumpy Cat on a wall and unfortunately, the municipality decided to cover his creation. But the creation of Paul Walsh was so much appreciated, that the inhabitants protested against the decision of the municipal council and circulated a petition.
Result : a telecommunications company named Chorus became interested in the artist and gave him a rather fun mission by asking Paul Walsh to stage his creative spirit in painting all his electrical cabinets. From the beginning, the artist began to paint no less than 50 cabinets with creations street art of his choice, some of which are beautiful references to memes of the web and at the pop culture.
The initiative has inevitably received an excellent welcome from the inhabitants of the city of Rotorua, already fans of the work of Paul Walsh. This is obvious, but the artist has at least the merit of diverting austere and rather unsightly elements of street furniture (the electrical cabinets) by adding a touch of creativity not insignificant. We love !
